CONVENTION | Smart Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future | Municipality of Varese | Salone Estense | Italy

Conference organized by ADI Lombardia, Industrial Design Association, “SMART INFRASTRUCTURES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: Projects and Solutions for the Urban Mobility of the Future.” The event, in collaboration with the Municipality of Varese, the Polytechnic University of Milan, and the Varese Order of Architects, was sponsored by Confindustria Varese and the Varese Chamber of Commerce. The evening’s focus was on smart infrastructure, the backbone of a sustainable urban future based on digital integration and energy efficiency. Many topics were discussed, including MaaS (Mobility as a Service), which can transform transportation into a seamless and customizable service through a single platform. ANAS SpA’s Smart Roads and Green Islands for safer and more sustainable highway mobility. Advanced Air Mobility and in particular, the Varese Vertiport HUB by FS Sistemi Urbani, a project by the Giancarlo Zema Design Group, conceived as a cutting-edge intermodal mobility hub for a new sustainable cultural tourism service.
